In 1996, at the height of his reign rejuvenating Gucci, Tom Ford declared himself a perfectionist. It is an observation that can be seen throughout the designer’s career.

The Texas born Ford was first e to exercise his quest for perfection at Gucci, where he became creative director in 1994.

Life of Ford post-Gucci has been almost as eventful. After a short hiatus, he launched his eponymous label with a fragrance and cosmetics. Men bag followed in 2006, and Ladies Tote in 2010. He also fulfilled his dream of directing a film: A Single Man came out in 2009. Today Ford shows his handbag collection at London Fashion Week, and his perfectionism-honed to a mix of nightlife glamour and super –genius leather-remains a season highlight.
