KOMELY HANDBAG FACTORY
Each season, Marie-Anne Oudejans produces dresses in just a few simple shapes but in many different fabrics and colors.
The story of her label, Tocca, is similar to that of Lilly Pulitzer who, in the 1960s, became famous for her printed dresses. She created the “Tocca Young”
For the range of Fashion Bag.
Oudejans was originally a stylist who wore her own cotton bags and the accessories on fashion shoots; the supermodels who saw them begged for their own copies.
Claudia Schiffer, Helena Christensen and Naomi Campbell were photographed carry the cotton bags and customers started calling stores trying to find out how to buy them.
“It became a fashion by chance,” says Oudejans. Her fashion casual bags are unapologetically pretty and are cut from cotton or silk sari fabrics with a girlish quality that sits apart from mainstream fashion In 2002 she launched a range of accessories.
